Compare Google Docs

Google Docs is quit similar to Microsoft Word. Two features that are similar to Microsoft Word that Google Docs has is the availability to save your document to a disk. This allows you to save your document to a disk that you can open on any computer. Another feature they both have is the bullet input. This allows you to indent your work with bullets.

Microsoft Word allows you to format your document a lot more then Google Docs does. Some features that Word has that Google Docs does not have is: subscripts, shading, sorting, multi leveling, & much more. Google Docs has limited formatting features. These basic features include: save, print, font & font size, bold, italicize, underline, ECT.

Two advantages to using Google Docs over Microsoft Word is: you are able to access this saved document at any computer if you do not have a floppy disk to save it to because it is saved to the site. Another advantage is since it is so much less advanced as Microsoft Word it would be easier for the older generation to use if they are not familiar with up to date computer programs. Two disadvantages to using Google Docs over Microsoft Word is that Word is way more advanced and it allows you to do many more features to your document then Google Docs lets you. Another disadvantage is that Microsoft allows you to save your documents to many different types of hard drives. Some examples are a flash drive, the desktop, or a floppy disk.
